Collins Bus Corporation announced that Kent Tyler is the new president and CEO of E-ONE, Inc., a market-leading manufacturer of first rescue vehicles and apparatus.
Tyler replaces Peter Guile, who in January was appointed CEO of Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV), the parent company of E-ONE, Collins Bus Corporation and nine other manufacturers. He will continue to lead Collins Bus “for the immediate future alongside his new responsibilities at E-ONE,” according to a company statement.
“[Tyler] has an ideal background for E-ONE sharing our passion for quality, innovation and superior customer service,” Guile said. “Kent has a proven track record in developing employees and dealers, implementing operational excellence and delivering significant growth.”
Tyler has more than 14 years of experience in the specialty vehicle manufacturing industry, having joined Collins Industries in 1997. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree from Missouri State University. Tyler and his family will relocate to the Ocala, Fla., area, where E-ONE is headquartered.
“I’m extremely excited to join E-ONE. Peter and the E-ONE team have done an outstanding job of establishing E-ONE as the preferred choice for apparatus,” said Tyler. “I look forward to working throughout the entire organization to develop innovative first responder apparatus and serve our nations heroes.”
E-ONE engineers and manufactures mission-critical vehicles including custom and commercial pumpers tankers, Water Master vacuum tankers, aerial ladders and platforms, command and communication apparatus, quick attack units, industrial trucks, and aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles. Allied Specialty Vehicles based in Orlando, Fla., is a privately held company comprised of industry leading brands in fire and emergency, recreation and commercial specialty vehicle segments.
