NAPT Awards Latest Special Needs Transportation Endorsement

The National Association for Pupil Transportation announced that Pamela K. Layral is the 29th recipient in North America to complete the association’s Special Needs Transportation Training Program.

Layral, a training supervisor at school bus contractor Student Transportation of America’s Riverside, Calif., operation completed all six required courses and two electives during the Transporting Student with Disabilities & Preschoolers National Conference in March in Orlando. The conference was acquired by STN Media Group, parent company of School Transportation News, days before this year’s event opened.

A complete list of NAPT Special Needs Training Transportation Program elements, which were specifically designed o increase an individual’s specific knowledge about transporting students with disabilities, is viewable online at www.napt.org.

The NAPT Special Needs Transportation Training Program provides numerous opportunities for transportation personnel serving students with disabilities to access educational opportunities at both local and national conferences and to gain national recognition for their efforts.
