Anti-Bullying Coloring Contest Targets ‘Happy Bus’

Seon is celebrating National Bullying Prevention Month by launching a new student coloring book contest titled “The Happy Bus: A Bully-free Zone.” In its inaugural contest last year, Seon received submissions from 1,300 students in the U.S. and Canada.

All school-aged children in North America are invited to submit completed coloring sheets by Oct. 31 to win one of three prize packages, Seon said in a release. This year’s contest features the design of last year’s winner, Jazmine of Wheatfield Elementary, located about 75 miles southeast of downtown Chicago.

“We had an amazing response to last year’s ‘Bullies Aren’t Cool’ coloring contest with over 1300 entries,” said Lori Jetha, marketing communications manager for Seon. “We heard so many inspiring stories, and had such a tremendous outpouring of support for the contest, that we decided to make it an annual event during the month of October.”

Winners in each age category (5-7, 8-10, and 11-plus years) will win a Seon ‘Buddy the Safety Bear’ stuffed animal and anti-bullying supporter medal. The winning students’ schools will receive a Bully Project DVD and Educator’s Kit and a $500 cash donation to help fund community-based anti-bullying awareness and education initiatives.

The company encouraged school transportation staff, administrators and parents to download and print the official coloring sheet and to sumbit the best entries to Seon via email.
