Transfinder Breaks $10M Revenue Mark in 2014

Student transportation software provider Transfinder reported another record year in 2014 as the company posted $10.335 million in revenue, a 20-percent increase over the year prior and the first earning to break eight figures.

A company release stated that the annual earnings signaled the 15th consecutive, record-breaking year. In August, Transfinder President and CEO Antonio Civitella said he expected earnings to surpass $8.6 million in 2013, which was the company’s best to date.

Transfinder also said it added 160 new clients last year, with nearly three-quarters of them coming over from the competition. The company has expanded its line of products and services, increased staff and announced plans to open an office in Austin, Texas, the first located outside of New York. That location is scheduled to open during the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Civitella laid down a challenge to his employees during his state of the company address.

“I’m not asking my employees to do the impossible,” Civitella said. “It is going to be difficult and it is going to take a lot of hard work by everyone on this team to increase revenue for a 16th consecutive year. But it is not impossible.”

Last year, Civitella was also named the Albany Business Review‘s Newsmaker of the Year, Siena College’s first Entrepreneur of the Year and the Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Syracuse, New York office.
