A new video promoting the upcoming North American School Bus EXPO provides attendees a glimpse at what they can expect at the annual summer conference and trade show, scheduled this year for July 23-27 in Reno, Nevada.
The team at School Transportation News produced the video last month to answer a vital question on the minds of student transporters: Why attend the STN EXPO? Three words immediately come to mind. Content. Community. Commerce.
More than just the STN EXPO tag line, the words describe what the event is all about.
Conference workshops tell the current and emerging story of how students are transported each day and the operational tools being used to do so, as well as lessons learned by districts and contractors on how to best provide the service. This summer, the educational topics of Maintenance & Technology, Management & Operations, Safety & Security and Special Needs & Head Start are joined by the Green Bus Summit, which has evolved after launching in 2015 as a one-day symposium on school bus alternative fuels.
Community is embodied by networking opportunities afforded to attendees and vendors, which remain one of if not the No. 1 reason most come to Reno year after year. Whether during the daily conference activities or at evening events, STN EXPO provides opportunities, second to none, for the sharing of ideas and the solidifying of industry relationships.
And if that all isn’t enough, the STN EXPO boasts the largest, one-day industry trade show to spur commerce and allow attendees to bridge the lessons learned in the classroom with the latest technology being offered.
Attendee registration for the 23rd Annual STN EXPO is now open with a Super Early Bird discount of $200 off the regular price, valid through April 27. Meanwhile, those interested in submitting proposals for conference workshop sessions may use the Call for Proposals portal through the end of February. Vendor registration is also open for the STN EXPO Trade Show on July 26.
