Man Sentenced to Jail in School Bus Driver’s Death

A New York man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for the assault of a Bronx school bus driver that ultimately led to the driver’s death, reported New York Daily News.

Four years ago, Joey Scott punched 65-year-old Juan Del Valle in the face after Del Valle clipped the mirror on his double-parked car. Scott got out of his car and demanded that Del Valle pay him for the damages instead of reporting the accident to police. When Del Valle refused, Scott punched him in the face two times.  Del Valle’s head hit the ground and he fell into a coma. He died several days later.

Scott pleaded guilty in exchange for nine years in prison and five years of supervision after his release.
