Michigan School Bus Hit With Sheet of Ice, Shatters Windshield

A Utica Community Schools bus in Shelby Township, Michigan was hit with a sheet of ice that shattered half its windshield, reported WXYZ Detroit.

The sheet of ice is reported to have come from the roof of a box truck on Jan. 21.

The bus driver and one student on the bus suffered minor injuries. They were treated and released from the hospital.

The school bus driver is being hailed as a hero for remaining calm after being injured by the ice, and safely pulling the bus over to the side of the road.
