Va. Bill Aims to Bring Back School Bus Cams

Chesterfield County plans to restart the abandoned plans to install cameras on the stop arms of school buses, according to ABC 8 News.

The intial plan, the school system reports, caught close to 400 violators. However, the initiative never moved forward after the attorney general issued an opinion saying that under Virginia law, citations could not be mailed and had to be delivered in person to violators. A recently proposed bill should change that.
