The News Sentinel reports that a school bus involved in a crash this month that injured 14 students had elicited several complaints from parents prior to the incident.
The driver, an employee of J&V Enterprises Bus Lines, told authorities that he was driving Bus 114, when he turned left, struck a car and ran down an embankment on Feb. 3. He complained the 75 students on board were “rowdy” and that he looked in the rearview mirror to see what was going on and hit the other car.
On several occasions this school year the district received complaints ranging from students standing on Bus 114 because there weren’t enough seats to bullying incidents to students missing the bus despite receiving notifications the bus was running late, only to have it arrive on time.
