School Bus Passenger in Critical Condition after 4-Vehicle Crash

A 12-year-old Ohio girl remained in critical condition following a crash that involved three cars and the student’s school bus, reports Cincinnati.com.

Police said the incident occurred Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. local time, when a man driving a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria passed another car and struck the rear of a 2005 Neon, which crossed the center line into the oncoming lane. The Neon hit a Petermann school bus that was transporting about a dozen Cincinnati Public School students. The school bus then spun into a 2003 Ford Taurus.

The 12-year-old girl was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, while school bus driver Tina Turnbrow, 40, was also hospitalized, along with nine other students.

A two-year-old boy was ejected from the Ford Taurus and was in serious but stable condition at a local hospital, and a one-year-old child in the same vehicle was also in serious condition.

Police said speed was a factor and charges were pending against the 23-year-old driver of the Ford Crown Victoria.
