PORTLAND, Ore. — Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) today announced the 40 recipients of its 2017 Masters of Quality Supplier award. The award recognizes the top quality components and services suppliers to Freightliner Trucks and Western Star.
The annual program recognizes outstanding suppliers that have received high scores based on their quality, delivery, technology and cost performance, as measured on a Balanced Scorecard basis. These suppliers are demonstrating their support to DTNA by continuously improving the quality of their products.
“Now in our 31st year, the Masters of Quality Supplier award recognizes the partners who provide our company with critical components and services that contribute to our overall success,” said Carsten Kirchholtes, general manager of supply chain management and international trade compliance for Daimler Trucks North America. “We are proud of our industry-leading products and innovations, and our suppliers’ commitment to excellence is essential.”
Added Sung Lee, general manager, operations planning and quality management for Daimler Trucks North America: “All of our suppliers are integral to DTNA continuing the highest level of manufacturing quality and efficiency.
