Gray Manufacturing Company, Inc., a family owned and operated business in St. Joseph, Missouri, specializing in manufacturing and selling portable lifting equipment for use by professional mechanics, announced today that it has resolved its patent infringement lawsuit filed on February 24, 2012 against Interstate Lift & Equipment Company, Inc. of Niles, Mich., Patriot Lifts & Equipment, Inc. of Rochester, N.Y. and PJ Industrial Supply, Inc. of Rochester, N.Y.
Pursuant to the agreement, Interstate, Patriot and PJ Industrial have admitted the validity and enforceability of Gray Manufacturing’s U.S. Patent No. RE41,554 “Coordinated Lift System”; U.S. Patent No. 7,014,012 “Coordinated Lift System” and U.S. Patent No. 7,219,770 “Coordinated Lift System with User Selectable RF Channels” related to wireless lifting devices. Interstate, Patriot and PJ Industrial also agreed not to infringe on the Gray patents in the future.
For over nine years, the Gray wireless lift system has been sold worldwide. A third generation of Gray wireless mobile column lifts will soon be introduced to broaden the scope of its utility to the customer.
In separate matters, Gray continues to pursue its federal lawsuit filed on February 6, 2012 against M2K, Inc. and Texas Equipment for patent infringement related to the same patents.
Gray also continues to pursue its federal lawsuit filed on February 29, 2012 against ARS Global Guiding, Inc.; Maxima USA, Yantai Maxima Automobile Repair Equipment Manufacture Co., Ltd; Yantai Bantam Automobile Test & Repair Equipment Manufacture Co., Ltd.; and MIT Group / Maxima, for patent infringement related to the same patents.
