National Express Corporation (NEC), a leader in safe student transportation, donated 35 turkeys to the Neighborhood Food Pantry at Immanuel in Warrenville.
NEC provides school bus services to school districts across the country. Giving back to the communities they serve is a commitment NEC’s CEO David A. Duke stands behind wholeheartedly: “Our teams routinely particpate in food drives and Stuff the Bus events benefitting local food pantries, shelters and charitable organizations in the communities in which they live and work. We believe in being good neighbors.”
With NEC’s headquarters based in Warrenville, Duke turned to Warrenville’s Neighborhood Food Pantry at Immanuel to help area families in need. “This donation arrived at a perfect time, ” said David Malone, co-coordinator of Neighborhood Food Pantry at Immanuel. “It takes the community and businesses to help address very local needs and to help our effors to battle hunger in the Warrenville area. We can’t do what we do without your help.”
Every NEC employee also received a turkey, carrying on a longstanding holiday tradition at the company. For more information, visit www.nationalexpresscorp.com.
