KENTWOOD, Mich. — North America Fuel Systems Remanufacturing, LLC. (NAFSR) celebrated its 10-year anniversary yesterday with an employee event and remarks by the mayor of Kentwood. NAFSR is a joint venture between Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing, LLC. and Bosch that produces remanufactured fuel products for heavy duty trucks. The product portfolio includes a wide range of fuel system products that have been revitalized to original equipment specifications.

ROUSH CleanTech Debuts First Propane Autogas Engine 90 Percent Cleaner

LIVONIA, Mich. — Alternative-fuel technology company, ROUSH CleanTech, has developed the first available propane autogas engine certified to California Air Resources Board’s optional low oxides of nitrogen emissions standard for heavy-duty engines, with 0.02 grams per brake horsepower-hour (g/bhp-hr). The engine is 90 percent cleaner than the current Environmental Protection Agency’s most stringent 0.2 g/bhp-hr heavy-duty engine standard.

Blue Bird Propane School Bus Certified as Ultra-Low NOx

The U.S. EPA and California Air Resources Board recently signed off on the Blue Bird Vision Propane school bus that is powered by a ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas fuel injection system and Ford 6.8L engine. They emit only 0.02 grams per brake horsepower hour, the lowest levels of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) that are available from any Class 4 through 7 propane vehicle.

Cummins Makes $500 Million Accelerated Share Repurchase

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Cummins, Inc. (NYSE:CMI) today announced that it has entered into an accelerated share repurchase (ASR) agreement with Goldman, Sachs & Co. LLC. (GS&Co.) to repurchase $500 million of Cummins’ common stock. Today’s ASR is part of Cummins’ previously announced share repurchase plans authorized by the Board of Directors and is consistent with the company’s plans to return 75 percent of Operating Cash Flow to shareholders in 2018.
