The third annual Transportation Director Summit, a day and a half of networking and high-level discussions between student transportation leaders and sponsoring companies, kicked off at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in downtown Reno.

Tony Corpin, president and publisher of School Transportation News, emceed the opening event on Friday that also signaled the start of this year’s STN EXPO Reno. He facilitated a conversation on what inspires both the attendees and representatives from 15 industry suppliers to succeed, as well as who or what helped launch their careers. The day closed out with an hour of casual networking.

The Transportation Director Summit continues Saturday in Incline Village-Lake Tahoe with presentations on how to prepare for negotiations, deliver necessary but sometimes unpleasant news to superiors and form strategic alliances.

Attendees must apply for consideration to be included in the Transportation Director Summit.
