ELYRIA, Ohio — Bendix will offer 19 in-person Bendix Brake Training School sessions from spring through fall 2017. Offered by Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems and Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake, this year’s training school opens Tuesday, March 21, in Owosso, Michigan. Bendix, the North American leader in commercial vehicle active safety and braking system technologies for commercial vehicles, has provided technician education and support for more than a half century, and its training programs are among the longest-running in the industry. The Brake Training School is designed for both new and experienced technicians.
“Among our core missions at Bendix is supporting professional technicians, who have the important responsibility of keeping commercial vehicles in good working condition and operating safely,” said Scott Burkhart, VP of sales, marketing, and business development at Bendix.
“Technologies today evolve continuously, and the trucking industry depends on technicians at all levels working with the most up-to-date operational and service knowledge. The Bendix program offers the kind of in-depth and hands-on training that technicians need to stay on the leading edge these technologies.”
The veteran Bendix Service Engineering Team, which conducts the training, represents more than a century of collective years of comprehensive, practical commercial vehicle service and troubleshooting experience. Previously known as the Bendix Service, Warranty, and Training (SWAT) team, the Service Engineering Team members are experts on air and foundation brake systems.
