MACOMB, Ill. — Durham School Services, a leading provider of student transportation, announced today that it has been recognized by the prestigious Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Blue Seal Program for a third consecutive year.
At least 75 percent of technicians who perform diagnosis and repairs at a location must be ASE certified, in order to qualify for the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program. Each area of service offered in the maintenance shop must be covered by at least one ASE-certified technician.
“To earn the ASE Blue Seal certification means your team is among ‘the best of the best,’” said Pete Silva, senior vice president of maintenance for Durham. “We are more than proud of our Macomb team’s dedication to not only being the safest, but also the most skilled. Their efforts are truly commendable.”
Durham hosted a celebratory luncheon for all of its employees, to recognize the achievement of Mike Foulk, maintenance supervisor, and his team. Patrick M. Twomey, superintendent of Macomb Community Unit School District, also attended.
“Here at Macomb School District #185, we consider ourselves fortunate to have Mike Foulk on our team. Our transportation shop has reached ASE Blue Seal certification three years running,” said Twomey. “Mike’s commitment to his shop and getting children to and from school safely, is absolutely evident, and he brings his personal best to work each and every day.”
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service, by testing and certifying automotive professionals. ASE certified technicians work in every part of the automotive service industry.
