The award is for outstanding application of category management principles resulting in optimized inventory to sales mix, and a corresponding increase in overall profitability for Pronto members.
Remy received the award at Pronto’s fall national shareholder’s meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sept. 12. On accepting the award, Eric Bippus, senior vice president, North American Aftermarket & Heavy Duty Truck Sales, said, “One of Remy’s top success stories in the first half of 2012 was winning Pronto’s starter and alternator business, and today we are very proud to be recognized by Pronto for helping their members sell more product using the proprietary Remy Optimized Inventory System(ROI).
