Scott Turney Named First Student’s Ohio Valley Regional Operations Manager

CINCINNATI, Oct. 29, 2010 — First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, has named Scott Turney region operations manager for the Ohio Valley. Turney will direct and manage operations for multiple First Student locations throughout the region, including the Cincinnati, Columbus, Miami Valley, Union County, Hardin County and New Miami offices in Ohio.

“Scott comes to First Student with a successful track record of managing large workforces in fast-paced environments,” said Roger Moore, region vice president, First Student. “His leadership experience will be crucial in helping our contract managers continue to provide safe and reliable transportation to thousands of students across the region every day.”

Most recently, Turney served as the regional field services director for DHL in Cincinnati. While there, he successfully managed the company’s midcontinent region and increased the productivity of his extensive team annually. Turney also worked with all levels of management to improve the region’s costs and operations. He won numerous company awards for operational excellence, safety and outstanding customer service.

Turney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with dual majors in management and marketing from the University of Dayton. He will be based out of the Cincinnati location.
