Stertil-Koni Expands Distributor Network by Adding Indiana Automotive Equipment

STEVENSVILLE, Md. — Heavy-duty hydraulic bus lift and truck lift leader, Stertil-Koni, today announced that it has expanded its network of exclusive distributors across North America with the addition of Indiana Automotive Equipment, based in Maxwell, Ind.

The fit is particularly strong for both companies. For its part, Indiana Automotive Equipment (IAE) has tremendous experience in vehicle equipment sales, parts and service. And now, as a Stertil-Koni distributor, IAE has added heavy-duty vehicle lifting systems to its offerings.

Stertil-Koni has experienced record growth in the first six months of 2019m and with IAE on board, has the opportunity to expand its presence in parts of Indiana and Kentucky. IAE is recognized for delivering superior service, which further aligns itself with Stertil-Koni’s industry-leading operation and dedication to customer care.

In making today’s announcement, Dr. Jean DellAmore, president of Stertil-Koni USA, noted, “We are delighted to welcome Indiana Automotive Equipment to the Stertil-Koni family. The organization has an excellent reputation in the vehicle parts industry and customer service, which is why it is an ideal complement to the Stertil-Koni brand. IAE and Stertil-Koni both share an exceptional dedication and track record in the all-important area of service—and that is a win-win for everyone.”

Indiana Automotive Equipment is also aligned with Stertil-Koni in other ways. IAE has in-house ALI (Automotive Lift Institute) certified inspectors and factory-trained vehicle lift installers who are highly skilled at assisting customers in new construction, existing facility lift installation projects, service and repair.

What’s more, owners Shane and Amber Tatom are carrying on the tradition of IAE’s founder, Robert Chastain, who saw a need in the industry for a company that not only sells equipment for vehicle servicing, but also provides service and repairs for that equipment. The Tatoms purchased Indiana Automotive Equipment from the Chastain family in January 2012.
