Blue Bird Recognizes Suppliers of the Year

School bus seating manufacturer C.E. White Company and engine manufacturer Cummins, Inc., were among six companies to win 2011 Global Supplier of the Year awards during Blue Bird’s annual Supplier Conference, which was held in Atlanta on Sept. 8.

Other winners included Amtech, LLC., which produces high-quality fiberglass and vacuum-formed parts; Dekalb Tool and Die, a metal stamping company; Five Points Services, Inc., which supplies diesel fuel, DEF fluid, antifreeze, oils and other automotive fluids; and Quality Drive Away, Inc., a transporter of trucks and buses from manufacturing plants to dealerships and customers.

“Blue Bird is privileged to present these suppliers with the Blue Bird 2011 Global Supplier of the Year Award,” said Trey Jenkins, VP of purchasing and supplier quality at Blue Bird. “For the past year, these suppliers have provided Blue Bird with superior performance related to cost, quality, delivery and technology. Blue Bird is fortunate to have an outstanding and reliable supplier base.”

Jenkins commented, “We look forward to 2012, as we drive for additional quality and excellence.”
