Blue Bird to Offer Customers Five Opportunities for Factory Training

Blue Bird training at its Fort Valley, Ga., factory will begin March 5-8 for the Type C Vision, the company announced today. Four other weeks of training will be available to customers during the remainder of the year.

Factory training on the Type D All American will be held April 2-5 and July 23-26. Other training opportunities for the Vision are July 16-19 and October 1-4.

Workshops will included dual-zone multiplex systems, SCR emissions technology in Cummins diesel engines and a complete factory tour. Blue Bird provides attendees transportation between the hotel and facility as well as lunch each day.

Blue Bird is supplementing the customer training with its dealer technical training held regionally. The company said this program offers technical bus information without the need of dealer staff to travel far from their home offices. The dealer training can also be customized to meet the needs of local customers.

A third training opportunity is through technical webcasts that participants can virtually attend via a telephone line and a computer with high-speed connection. Blue Bird said its webcasts have grown in popularity and will be offered frequently in 2012. Dates and times of those webcasts have yet to be announced, but more information is available by contacting local authorized Blue Bird dealers.
