N.Y. Contractor’s Association Elects New President

The New York School Bus Contractor’s Association has elected Michael Martucci as its new president. Martucci previously served as the association’s president for two years and has been a part of the Board of Directors since 2010. He will serve as president for the next two years.

“Mike Martucci’s passion for the industry is unparalleled, and his insight and energy will be instrumental in propelling the New York School Bus Contractors Association into the future,” said outgoing President Bob Pape.

Martucci is the owner and founding partner of Quality Bus Service, LLC, which he started in 2007 shortly after graduating from Marist College. At the time, he owned a single bus and served as the company’s sole bus driver. Today, the company owns over 250 buses and has over 400 employees in three locations.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be named president of the New York School Bus Contractors Association. Our mission to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective pupil transportation services for school districts is one I take very seriously”, said Martucci. “I look forward to spreading the message about the benefits of private pupil transportation, along with the need for improving our school bus safety laws throughout the state and the entire school transportation industry.”

In addition to his work in the student transportation industry, Martucci also sits on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Orange County.

“The single most important thing we do as school bus contractors is provide a safe ride to and from school for over one million children every day,” said Martucci. “I’m extremely proud of our industry’s overall safety record, and look forward to working with the Governor’s office and the legislature to strengthen the school transportation industry.”
