Transportation Sector Consultants, which provides consulting and management options for school districts, announced the addition of three new members to its Advisory Board, including two school transportation veterans.
The new members are Richard Jacobs, Robert Pudlewski and Dr. Jerry Bartee.
Richard Jacobs has over four decades of experience in school transportation and public school administration. Earlier in his career, he served as a teacher for Boston Public Schools. He later became transportation planner and assistant director of transportation. In 1990, he became director of transportation for the district, and served in that role until 2009.
Robert Pudlewski has 50 years of experience in the industry and has served as vice president of Laidlaw Education Services Inc. for the past three decades. Previously, he worked as senior vice president for a transportation provider and ran Fleet OPS Consulting, LLC. He has served as board member for the New York State Contractors’ Association and the National School Transportation Association. Pudlewski is also STN’s technical editor and part of the Green Bus Summit advisory board.
Jerry Bartee has been an educator with the Omaha Public Schools for thirty-five years. He joined the district as a substitute teacher in 1980 and became a full-time teacher the following year. He later became assistant principal at Nathan Hale Jr. High School, as well as athletic director and then principal at Omaha South High School. Nine years later, he became assistant superintendent of District Operational Services at Omaha Public Schools.
