‘Legal Routes’ Down to Final Issues

The first of the three last bimonthly issues of ‘Legal Routes’ is now available, with the next two following in July and September. Peggy Burns, editor-in-chief announced last fall that the publication will come to an end with the September issue.

The current issue, “A New Look for Your Training,” explores issues such as foreseeability, confidential student information, training staff about compliance with special education laws and more.

The July issue will focus on employment practices, while September will cover student management topics.

“Peggy and I think these issues are valuable tools for managers and an excellent way to bring knowledge about transportation’s operational and legal challenges to the attention of school administrators and IEP team members,” said publisher Roseanne Schwaderer.

Burns also announced her retirement last fall, effective at the end of the year. The upcoming STN EXPO will be one of her last speaking engagements.

“My work with the school bus industry has been the most satisfying of my professional life,” she said last fall.
