New Online Customer Rewards Program from Daimler to Offer Parts Discounts

Daimler Trucks North America, the parent of school bus manufacturer Thomas Built Buses, announced on Jan. 20 a new program designed to reward customers with parts and service discounts at Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel and Thomas Built Buses service locations.

A company representative said customers don’t need to own Thomas Built Buses to cash in on incentives. School bus operators need only to purchase parts or utilize a certified Thomas dealer for service. In a statement, Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) added that the specials offered will include discounts on select parts and services designed to introduce customers to the full breadth of DTNA’s aftermarket offerings. Customers will be able to apply the discounts at checkout without the need for coupons or to take further action.

MyTruckBucks.com is currently allowing users to sign up to receive updates when the program is live this spring.

“Truck Bucks is a great opportunity for us to reward our customers for their loyalty to the DTNA network,” said Todd Biggs, director, Daimler Trucks North America, aftermarket parts and service marketing. “This program will allow us to get closer to our customers, and help us to facilitate a rewarding aftermarket experience overall.”

Trucks Bucks is an extension of technologies implemented to improve customer service and web-user experience in all aspects of parts purchasing, from the initial order to delivery through the life of the product.

“We recognize that today owner-operators and small fleets have a lot of options for parts and service. They are very conscious of total cost of ownership,” added Biggs. “To us, that means our parts and service operations have to be exceptional in both quality and value. Truck Bucks is an example of our commitment to put the customer first.”
