Pennsylvania Bus Contractor Website Targets Parents

The Pennsylvania School Bus Association launched a redesigned website that it said reflects the group’s brand new look and mission, which includes outreach to the general public and, specifically, parents of yellow bus riders.

“The new website provides us with an opportunity to educate and inform the public about the school transportation industry. A section on the site is dedicated to providing information for parents and schools,” said Mike Berk, PSBA executive director. “We receive a great number of questions from parents, school districts and transportation directors, and we are hoping our website can serve as a resource in the future.”

The website went live Monday and contains a number of content specific sections, including dedicated pages covering safety information and special needs transportation. PSBA said an exclusive section will continue to be available only to PSBA members with valuable industry-specific resources and information.

“The new design of our website is more reflective of our industry and association. The first image you see when visiting the PSBA website shows three students alongside a school bus. Providing the highest degree of safety for school children is the first and foremost mission of our members and the PSBA,” added PSBA President Blake Krapf.

In addition, PSBA has also expanded its presence on social media. People can now follow the association on Facebook and on Twitter.

PSBA represents 300 school bus contractors from across the state.
