Summer Dates Announced for Seventh Annual IC Bus University Training Sessions

Registration is for four IC Bus University training sessions this summer, the school bus manufacturer announced.

Classes will be held on June 23-26, July 7-10, July 21-24 and August 4-7. IC Bus said each session will be held at the Tulsa, Okla.,plant for a maximum of 60 participants each time.

The training sessions are focused on engines, diagnostics and preventive maintenance/repair procedures. The program also includes a full plant tour of the IC Bus facility in Tulsa and comprehensive information on parts, service and maintenance. IC Bus said it was the first school bus manufacturer to offer formal factory training for technicians.

“IC Bus is the market-leader in the North American school bus industry and we remain focused on building and maintaining the best relationships in the business,” said Carl Webb, vice president and general manager, IC Bus. “By offering this program, we are investing in our customers’ bottom lines by providing technicians with additional education and proficiency with our products.”

IC Bus University was developed in 2008 as a customer-focused training program for technicians to optimize service and maintenance proficiency and to broaden technician knowledge of IC Bus products. More than 1,200 school bus technicians have participated in the program.

The registration fee is $425 per person, which includes instruction by IC Bus trainers, materials, transportation and lunches. More information on the program and how to register is available from local IC Bus dealers.
