School Bus Crash in Greenwood County Injures 18

One of three buses traveling back from a field trip crashed into the woods on their way back to school, reported the Index-Journal.

The report stated that at least 18 people on the bus were injured, including three who were considered to be in critical condition. Adults and children were on the bus when it wrecked.

The bus went off the road and hit a utility pole and a fence, then traveled down an embankment. It is still yet to be determined why the bus veered off the road.

Helicopters, EMS and firefighters all responded to the scene.
