School bus safety has been at the forefront of parents minds, so one Kokomo School Corporation pupil and budding artist decided to do something about raising awareness, according to The Kokomo Herald.
Boulevard STEM Elementary School fifth grade student Ava Fewell has earned national attention her work that earned her a third place finish in her division of the National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest.
Her poster also earned a first place in Division 4 of the 2015 School Transportation Association of Indiana Conference and will be sent to the National Association of Pupil Transportation for judging at its national conference later this year.
