Suspected Capitol Gunman is Former School Bus Driver

Larry Russell Dawson, the man shot by police Monday after allegedly seen wielding a gun at the U.S. Capitol building is a former school bus driver, according to WUSA 9.

Dawson, 66, was reportedly fired from the school bus driver job for harassing a teenage girl. He was also a former funeral director who lost his license. 

Dawson was also arrested last fall after disrupting House proceedings and was charged with assaulting a police officer and unlawful conduct on Capitol grounds.

He is stable but in critical condition.
