FirstGroup America Names New Executive Vice President, Engineering

CINCINNATI — FirstGroup America, the largest public transportation company in North America, appointed Kevin Middleton as Executive Vice President of Engineering. Middleton will oversee all technical operations, including engineering and maintenance, for all of the Company’s business divisions across the US and Canada, which include the student bus division, Greyhound, and transit operations.

Middleton brings 19 years of engineering management in the transportation industry to FirstGroup America, including having directed fleet engineering operations for companies in the UK and Canada. Middleton will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and engineering for FirstGroup America’s 72,000 vehicle fleet, which includes yellow school buses, motor coaches, transit buses, paratransit vehicles, as well as maintenance of hundreds of contracted fleets.

“Kevin brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role here and I am pleased that he will be leading our technical teams across North America,” said Mike Murray, CEO and President of FirstGroup America. “His focus on safety, preventative maintenance, and environmental challenges will take our company forward as we continue to grow.”
