Kyrish Truck Centers Agrees to Sell Selected Assets to RWC International

HOUSTON, Texas – Kyrish Truck Centers (KTC), is a commercial truck dealer that operates 19 dealership sales and service locations throughout Texas. The company represents multiple commercial brands including International, IC Bus, Isuzu, Hino, Autocar and Battle Motors. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 KTC reached agreement to sell selected assets of their commercial dealership operation to RWC International (RWC). Assets sold to RWC include specific assets of the truck dealership operation, school bus sales business, and full service vehicle leasing company. Related real estate associated with the operation of KTC is also included.

According to Duane Kyrish, this was an appropriate time for KTC to evaluate strategic options for the future of the business. “KTC has been privileged to serve our customers for the better part of five decades! I am proud my family has been able to carry on the legacy my father started when he opened his first truck dealership (Austin) back in 1976. Over the 47 years one thing at KTC has never changed. Our professional, dedicated employees have consistently delivered exceptional support to our customers. Having said that, a lot of things have changed as I look to the future. After carefully considering these changes in our industry it became clear this was the right time to transition ownership of KTC.”

Kyrish continued: “We were flattered by the number of dealer candidates that we interviewed during our evaluation process. To be candid there were several considerations that made the RWC offer stand out among their peers. The knowledge of the business, the strength of the front-line leaders at RWC, and CEO Bob Cunningham are very important to me. The financial depth necessary to enable future investments in facilities and growth was another important consideration. And the cultural fit between RWC and KTC is remarkable. I’m truly excited for the employees of KTC. RWC brings leadership, talent and an acute customer focus that will make KTC a great place to work! The best is yet to come for the KTC team.”

Bob Cunningham, CEO of RWC, said: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to acquire KTC. Our respect for Duane, Wayne and Jeff is immense. The legacy of Ed Kyrish and his family is very special.

The successful integration of RWC and KTC represents an enormous opportunity for everyone at both companies. I am really looking forward to getting the process started.” Due diligence on this transaction is scheduled to begin immediately. A tentative closing date for the sales of defined assets has been set for Dec. 31, 2023.
