SynTec Seating Offers Black Back Seat Covers for School Buses

HIGH POINT, N.C. — SynTec Seating Solutions announced it has black back seat covers available for its S3B & S3C seats. This unique design offers the same superior quality as SynTec’s traditional seat cover colors, with the added benefit that it looks good and reduces vandalism.

Black back covers are available in fireblock vinyl, with popular color combinations such as gray/black and blue/black.

“We are very excited to offer this sleek design to our customers, the black back seat covers are an interesting alternative to standard seat back colors,” said Rick Smith, OEM account manager at SynTec Seating Solutions. “Safety, capacity and ease are at the core of every product offered by SynTec—the same is true for this great product.”

The concept of black back seat covers originated in Clark County, Nevada and has quickly gained popularity in other locations. The use of black vinyl back seat backs is becoming more and more widespread in both Dallas and Houston, and as a result of this they have seen significant reductions in vandalism.

“We’ve successfully used black back seat covers for three years,” said Aaron Hobbs, executive director of transportation for Dallas County Schools. “The convenience of the zip-on seat backs allows us to quickly change out setbacks and minimize downtime for repairs.”
