Creative Bus Sales Acquires National Bus Sales

Creative Bus Sales increased its reach as the largest school bus dealer in the country as it announced Wednesday it acquired National Bus Sales, the second largest school bus dealer. The acquisition brings its total number of locations to 29.

“This acquisition represents a significant strategic move for Creative and validates the company’s mission to provide unparalleled sales, service and aftermarket support for our nationwide customer base,” said Tony Matijevich, president of Creative Bus Sales, which had previously operated 16 locations in 15 states across the nation.

He added that, “It not only enables our sales team to serve additional markets, but also benefits our manufacturer partners, by bringing an elevated standard of quality products and services to customers in an efficient and economical manner.”

National Bus Sales is a family-owned and operated company that was founded in 1974. It is headquartered in Georgia and serves the Southeast Central, and Mid-Atlantic markets and has a product line similar to Creative Bus Sales, which deals in Collins and Starcraft school buses and commercial buses as well as El Dorado, Startrans and others.

“There is tremendous synergy between the two companies when you look at our respective product lines and unique dealership locations,” said John Smith, chairman of National Bus Sales. “The acquisition makes a lot of sense for the industry and our valued customer base. Our customers and our employees will be in good hands with Creative.”
