Police: Parking Brake Not Applied Before Fatal Crash

According to a crash report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the school bus driver did not engage the parking brake in prior to an incident that killed Susan Jordan, a school principal, reports WISHTV

The report states that the driver was preparing to leave the student loading area, and then got out of the driver’s seat without applying the parking brake. This in turn caused the school bus to move forward, injuring two students and killing Jordan in the process.
