School Bus Driver Praised for Saving Students From Fire

A New Jersey bus driver is receiving praise after getting 22 high school students out of a school bus right before a fire broke out, reported Patch.

Jose Rodriguez, reportedly noticed smoke coming from the front of the bus and immediately pulled over. He evacuated the students, none of whom were harmed. Approximately 20 to 40 gallons of diesel fuel spilled on to the road, which required Haz Mat teams to respond to the scene.

It appears the fire originated from the bus’ engine.
