Student Killed Attempting to Board School Bus

Tragic news out of Minnesota; WDAY 6 is reporting that a 7-year-old Thief River Falls boy was struck and killed while crossing the street at his bus stop.

Challenger second grader Anthony Fellman was allegedly hit by a minivan driven by 69-year-old Joanne Schultz.

Three students were waiting at the bus stop and a dozen others were already on the bus when the collision occurred.
Minnesota State Patrol says Schultz is cooperating with law enforcement. The school district is providing counseling services. And the superintendent asks parents to remind their children about school bus safety.
