WBAL TV 11 is reporting that students at a Baltimore town hall grilled the local superintendent about why so many buses are not showing up on time.
Superintendent Dallas Dance took questions from more than 100 students from 14 high schools around the area. The hot topic: transportation delays.
“It’ll arrive anytime between 25 minutes early and 30 minutes late every day, and I end up driving most of my friends to school with my mother when the bus is that late,” said one student.
The superintendent said it’s a problem he’s working around the clock to try and solve.
“Driver shortage, making sure you have enough routes, plus, at the same time, we have a growing county. So I’m going to be presenting to our board in early May sort of a reorganization of the transportation department,” said Dance.
