Idle Free Systems and AmeriQuest Transportation Services Launch Supplier Partnership

Idle Free Systems Inc., a leading provider of year-round idle elimination solutions for trucks and school buses, announces a new business partnership with AmeriQuest Transportation Services. The Idle Free electric APU system is the first electric idle-elimination solution to be available directly to AmeriQuest members.

AmeriQuest Transportation Services is a privately-held transportation services company providing comprehensive resources to make smart business decisions, meet their end-to-end transportation objectives, and drive out costs through a valuable network of solutions. With more than 1,500 customers representing 700,000 vehicles, AmeriQuest members can take advantage of volume pricing on equipment and services, now including the Idle Free electric APU.

Jim Sweeney, Vice President of Capital Equipment at AmeriQuest Transportation Services, states, “After a rigorous qualification process, Idle Free was chosen as an AmeriQuest preferred supplier because of its industry-leading technology, environmental responsibility, and customer service.”

“While we have other APU suppliers, Idle Free is the first electric APU we’ve offered directly to members. It’s true idle-elimination rather than just idle-reduction,” states Sweeney. “Additionally, our members are able to buy direct from Idle Free which reduces cost and saves time. This new supplier partnership enables AmeriQuest members to obtain special pricing on their Idle Free electric APU system by leveraging the AmeriQuest network.”

According to Robert Hopton, CEO of Idle Free Systems Inc., the AmeriQuest preferred supplier network helps fleets save time, money, and resources.

“What’s great about this supplier network is that members know these suppliers have already been vetted for quality, efficiency, and reliability.”

The Idle Free electric APU system is a complete idle-elimination system. It is the only APU on the market capable of meeting all driver needs – heat, air conditioning, and hotel needs – without relying on either a diesel engine or the truck’s starter batteries. The Idle Free system completely eliminates the need to idle a truck without ever jeopardizing the productivity of the truck. The Idle Free system is California Air Resources Board (CARB) compliant and an EPA SmartWay verified technology.
