About the Event and Brandon Billingsley

If you knew Brandon, you knew his passions in life. His family, being one of his greatest loves, his position in the pupil transportation industry and of course, the joy of hunting and fishing, especially offshore. Brandon Billingsley was passionate about having a good time and enjoying life and this showed in his work and his quality time with others.
Brandon’s grandfather, L.B. Billingsley, founded Billingsley Parts & Equipment in 1968. Billingsley Parts & Equipment (BP&E) was focused on pupil transportation and other industries as well. Brandon grew up working various positions in BP&E and had been influenced by the pupil transportation industry throughout his life. Don Billingsley, Brandon’s father, formed Heavy Duty Bus Parts after BP&E sold, which Brandon became partners and eventually president. Heavy Duty Bus Parts is 100% focused on the pupil transportation industry. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, throughout Brandon’s career and growth, he was responsible for innovating several new products that were unique to his company alone, all in an effort to contribute to enhancing student safety. His wife Kristen and the Heavy Duty Bus Parts/UltraLED Lighting teams, will continue to work with the integrity and grit to continue Brandon’s legacy.
In honor of Brandon, his life and legacy, Kristen has set up a scholarship fund in his name. We are hosting the Annual Brandon Billingsley Fishing Tournament where all the proceeds will go toward the Brandon Billingsley Memorial Scholarship Fund. The tournament is designed to honor Brandon’s passions in life by accomplishing three things. First, bringing family and friends together in a celebration of him and his life. Next, by raising money to award qualifying participants annual scholarships for educational purposes of all kinds. Last, but most important, for all of us to have a great day fishing together in his memory!
We know Brandon would be proud, smiling down upon us with his big ol’ grin, rooting us on!
We appreciate all everyone has done and continues to do to support Brandon’s passions and further his legacy. Our hearts are full with all the love and support we’ve received!
