WALL, N.J. — In honor of Military Appreciation Month, Student Transportation of America (STA), an industry leader in school bus transportation, safety and fleet services, announced on May 1 that it is celebrating its employees and their family members who have served or continue to serve in the military.

In support of this company-wide initiative, STA is asking its more than 15,000 employees at more than 175 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada to recognize and honor their peers who have served in the armed forces or are active duty.

“While we are grateful throughout the year for our military, past and present, STA is proud to support Military Appreciation Month during May,” stated Patrick Vaughan, president of STA’s School Transportation Group. “Our commitment to the communities we serve is one of the core values of STA and this month is a special time to recognize the veterans and military servicemen and women of the STA/STC Family, who exemplify commitment by their efforts to defend their country and its values. We thank them for their service and dedication to safety.”
