Allied Specialty Vehicles Changes Name to REV Group Inc.

Out with the old, in with the new, so to speak, as Collins Bus parent company Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV) has unveiled a fresh corporate name, REV Group Inc.

Screen Shot 2015 11 02 at 8.30.51 AMThe transformation, the company announced on Monday, directly aligns with its continued commitment of building and delivering specialty vehicle brands used worldwide. Currently, the company manufactures 23 unique brands of buses, mobility vehicles, ambulances, fire apparatuses, recreation vehicles, terminal trucks and sweepers.

President and CEO Tim Sullivan explained the conversion of ASV to REV Group Inc. as a method to ensure it conveys its forward-thinking leadership. “Like a revving engine letting bystanders know a car is preparing for a quick acceleration, REV communicates to the world that we are set for growth,” said Sullivan.

In addition to the shift in name and logo, the company also adjusted the company’s tagline to “Vehicles for Life.”

“Whether saving lives by transporting the sick and injured to hospitals, enriching the lives of families as they travel on vacations or making lives more mobile for those with disabilities, our vehicles are an integral part of everyday life. We believe the REV banner will serve as a strong corporate identity for the role we play both nationally and internationally as we move forward,” said Sullivan.

REV Group also confirmed that Collins will present a new bus at the 2015 NAPT Summit. Its debut will take place Monday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. on the exhibitor floor.
