Bus Driver Helps Locate Missing Teen with Autism

An 18-year-old Pittsburgh student with severe autism who went missing over the weekend was found thanks to help from his school bus driver, reported WPXI.

The teen was reported missing around 1pm Sunday. Chris Carnegie, the driver, saw the report on the news and immediately contacted police.

“As soon as I saw the picture on TV, I knew where he was right away,” he said. Carnegie had overheard a conversation between the student and one of his friends, who also rode the bus, which led him to think the student was probably at his friend’s house.

Police were able to locate the teen with Carnegie’s tip, as he was in fact at his friend’s house.
