Railroad Crossing Arm Spears School Bus in South L.A.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that a railroad crossing arm pierced a loaded school bus in South Los Angeles.

“It was an unusual incident,” said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erick Scott said. “At this point it appears there were no injuries.”

The lettering on the school bus captured in a photo, which also showed a student sitting inside near the point of impact, indicated the route was operated by contractor First Student.
