Students Injured in Texas Bus Crash

ABC 13 reported that nine students were transported to a Texas hospital after a crash involving a Dayton ISD school bus and an SUV.

The school district says the students only suffered minor injuries.

The Department of Public Safety reported that the bus driver was a mechanic with the district and was filling in for the bus driver that’s usually on that route. According to DPS, he is licensed to drive a school bus and collision was not his fault.

Dayton police said several ambulances were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 321.

Five students were on the bus and four other students were in the SUV that overturned near Dayton High School.
