RENO, Nev. — STN EXPO West attendees participated in informative trainings, starting with the Elements of School Transportation Active-Threat Response Training. Plus, led by Maritza Valentin, participants also completed a Mastering Wheelchair and Occupant Securement Training Certification class from AMF-Bruns as well as a Supervisory Reasonable Suspicion Training instructed by Tonica Lathrop.
Throughout the day, day one of the National School Bus Inspection Training Program took place. Select individuals were also invited to participate in the inaugural Mentorship Program lunch. Several on-site podcasts were also filmed.
The day ended with the Transportation Director Summit lead by STN President and Publisher Tony Corpin. The first of this two-day event, the TD Summit gave participants the opportunity to network and gain high-level insights from experts within the student transportation industry and beyond.
