Bill and Colette Paul, the founders and owners of School Transportation News magazine and the STN EXPO, joined STN Publisher Tony Corpin on stage and said a few words to open the day.
“Twenty-five years go by so fast,” Bill Paul commented. “Thanks for being here; thanks for taking care of America’s children.”
After the morning keynote, a panel of experts with law enforcement and consulting experience tackled the topic of school bus security. The afternoon included sessions on real-world experiences with lap/shoulder belts, the connected bus, making school bus fuel choices, Head Start and OSHA regulations, the basics of wheelchair securement, and how to avoid leaving students on the bus.
