The Transportation Director Summit ran for the second day, with a featured presentation from World Champion Public Speaker Ryan Avery, on how to not just be “a” leader, but “the” leader. Jeff Cassell of School Bus Safety Co. dissected the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Entry Level Driver Training requirements that go into effect on Feb. 7, 2020, and a panel of school bus manufacturers, who discussed fuel options and offerings.
During the afternoon, Alexandra Robinson of the New York DOE’s Office of Pupil Transportation, and consultant Denny Coughlin, each covered an area of student transportation leadership: Managerial operations and bus garage leadership.
