Allied Specialty Vehicles Names Ron Campbell Canadian Bus Division National Sales Manager

Orlando, Fla. (Tuesday, June 9, 2015) – Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV), a leading manufacturer of motor vehicles for commercial, fire & emergency and recreation markets, today announced that Ron Campbell has been named Canadian Bus Division national sales manager for ASV Bus. Campbell will lead international sales in Canada for ASV’s commercial, transit and school bus brands and report directly to John Walsh, vice president of sales for ASV Bus.

“I’m very pleased that Ron is joining ASV to lead bus sales in Canada,” said Kent Tyler, president of ASV Bus & Mobility Group. “Ron has more than two decades of bus sales experience, especially in the school bus market, and has established relationships with key ASV bus dealers and customer accounts in Canada, making him an ideal fit for this market.”

Campbell added, “I am very excited to begin working with the dedicated teams at ASV’s bus plants and am looking forward to working on their behalf with dealers and customers in Canada to grow sales and market share for each brand.”

Campbell arrives from Creative Carriage, a bus and mobility conversion vehicle dealer and manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles located in St. George, Ontario, where he was sales manager. Prior to this, he was national sales manager for Canada and the eastern United States for Micro Bird, Inc. Before this, Campbell held sales and technical support positions with the Girardin Corporation, Q-Straint and Cambridge Transit.

Campbell is an active member of the Canadian Standards Association and has served on various standards committees, including D250 Technical Standards for School Buses, D270 Standards for Multi Function School Activity Buses (MFSAB), D409 Standards for Motor Vehicles for the Transportation of People with Physical Disabilities, D435 Accessible Transit Buses and D436 Over the Road Buses. Campbell is also past chairman of the Manufactures Council of Small School Buses (MCSSB) in Canada.
